Theme Switch-up, Ride Wednesdays, & G'Knight Ride news!

Big news! Last week Bike Night nearly broke the 200 rider mark! We had a great ride and it looks like folks are getting used to riding in the group. This week we have a lot going on so check it out, below!

Originally, we were planning DISCO this week. However, we're working on something special for the DISCO theme night - so we're going to put that on hold til whatever it is works out. This week is NEON night. So grab something florescent and your ride, then join us!

We are also going to offer a Kids Workshop on Bike Handling Skills. This is our regular Kid's Bike Night workshop. Please join us at Central Elementary at 4:30p. The class is free and your rider will have a lot of fun. The workshop is best for kids riding bikes WITHOUT training wheels. However, if you'd like your child to participate, the more the merrier.

See you at Central Elementary School at 4:30pm in beautiful Old Town.

Also - Our route on Wednesday will be sort of a G'Knight Ride preview. We know you're excited for the G'Knight Ride happening this week. Right? Have you registered?

Our route will take us from Roosevelt Park to Sunset Golf Course, then, to Spruce Avenue, Bowen and down to the St. Vrain Greenway. We will pass Lefthand brewery, too. Those wishing to stop, please feel free. The rest of the group will continue on east along the Greenway to Martin Street where we'll ride North to 5th Avenue and back to Roosevelt Park.

RIDE WEDNESDAYS a fundraiser for Bicycle Longmont!

Did you know June is Colorado Bike Month? Did you know that Mayor Dennis Coombs proclaimed the G'Knight Ride Longmont's Community Wide Celebration of Cycling AND renamed Longmont - BIKEmont for the duration of June?

Do you like beer? Do you like riding bikes? Do both and Lefthand and Oskar Blues' Tasty Weasel will donate a dollar to Bicycle Longmont during Bike Month. All you need to do is show the bartender or server your helmet and $1 from your beer will go directly to Bicycle Longmont to support cycling in BIKEmont.

We will make trips to the breweries on June 13th & 20th. June 13th (NEON Nitez) we will go to Lefthand and on the 20th (Pajama Party Night) we will make a long solstice trip to the Tasty Weasel. Look forward to these two rides!
